Mila has been conceived and built by our clinical team, who are luminaries in behavioral science, outpatient, and inpatient practice. The team also has decades of experience in delivering consumer facing machine learning and software businesses which have scaled to millions of customers.

Shailu Verma
Chief Executive Officer, Co-founder
Shailu Verma is an accomplished healthcare and machine learning product leader and entrepreneur. He is the Chief Product Officer of Swan AI Studios. Prior to that, he was the Chief Product Officer of United Health Group’s Strategy and Innovation group—where he led mylevel2.com and launched several ML/AI services to reduce payer and provider burden. Shailu led product at Amazon Web Service computer vision, databases, and storage services, where he launched over 30+ services reaching millions of customers. Shailu was also the cofounder of Lanworth, a pioneer in using data and machine learning for financial risk management, which he scaled from inception to it acquisition by Thomson Reuters.
Jeff Kreamer, MD
Clinical Advisor, Co-founder
Dr. Jeff Kreamer is an experienced physician, health executive, entrepreneur, and Accountable Care Organization expert. He is a Partner at Swan AI Studios and the founder and Chairman of Best Practices Inpatient Care, Ltd, the largest private group in the largest ACO in the United States. His history of innovation includes multiple patents spanning many disease lines, and he is the founder of one of the first hospitalist programs in the United States.
Vasant Manohar, PhD
Chief Technology and Product Officer
Dr. Manohar is a seasoned technologist with deep expertise in artificial intelligence, hyper-scale cloud engineering, large-scale distributed data infrastructure, and health care product development. He served as Chief Data Officer for UnitedHealth Group and Chief Technology Officer at Optum Labs where he spearheaded machine learning platforms that have generated substantial business value. Prior to that Dr Manohar was at Amazon, where he led machine learning and computer vision products in the Amazon Rekognition portfolio. He also serves as a partner at Swan AI Studios.
Eric Hughes
Chief Revenue Officer
Eric Hughes has over 25 years of experience in healthcare and technology, specializing in developing innovative go-to-market strategies and forging strategic partnerships that enhance our impact on patient care and healthcare delivery. His career has been marked by scaling revenue and optimizing sales processes, with leadership roles at Cerner, Philips, HealthUnity, and VitalHealth. Eric is passionate about AI-driven healthcare innovations that deliver value-based care, improve patient outcomes, and streamline healthcare systems.
Roy Perlis, MD, MSc
Chief Physician
Dr. Perlis is a psychiatrist, Professor of Harvard Medical School and Director of the Center for Quantitative Health at Massachusetts General Hospital. He is a Clinical Partner at Swan AI Studios. Dr. Perlis has Co-founded multiple bioinformatics and biotechnology companies, including the first CRO to successfully deploy telehealth for remote monitoring in CNS clinical trials.
Ranju Das
Executive Chairman, Founder
Ranju stands out as a distinguished figure in healthcare and AI/ML industries. His illustrious career includes serving as CEO of Swan AI Studios, where he is driving significant advancements in AI technology. As CEO at OptumLabs, he led strategic initiatives that resulted in noteworthy operational efficiencies and cost reductions. His tenure as GM of Amazon AI Services was marked by remarkable growth and scaling of the company’s AI services. At Barnes and Noble, he was the Engineering Leader responsible for the successful development and launch of the Nook Tablet series, significantly impacting the market. Ranju also co-founded and led sCubes, Inc., demonstrating his entrepreneurial flair. His visionary leadership and strategic insight have been pivotal in fostering innovation and business growth across multiple industries.
Bharat Welingkar
Advisor, Product and Technology
Bharat Welingkar is an experienced consumer and health tech executive, entrepreneur, angel investor, and advisor to early-stage companies. He is a partner at Swan AI Studios. Prior to Swan, Bharat led engineering efforts in Johnson and Johnson healthtech Studio, built Tradeshift platform offerings and helped Yahoo launch live streaming business with LiveNation. He also founded and successfully exited Nubo9 to Yahoo.
Kunal Joshi, MD, MBA
Clinical Advisor
Dr. Joshi is an experienced physician and health tech leader in the hospital medicine setting with a primary focus on treating and managing high acuity conditions such as heart attacks, strokes, congestive heart failure, sepsis – just to name a few. His passions include using AI/ML to help achieve health equity and improve patient outcomes with the help of digital tools, remote monitoring and other innovative methods that focus on healthcare – not sickcare. His affiliations include Overlake Medical Center and Kaiser Permanente. He is a recent graduate from the Foster School of Business at the University of Washington.
Seth Feuerstein, MD
Dr. Feuerstein is a physician, serial healthcare founder and CEO, insurance executive and Board Member at Talk Space. He is a Clinical Partner at Swan AI Studios and Founder of Oui Therapeutics, Cobalt Therapeutics and Vita Health. Dr. Feuerstein focus on new care and reimbursement models in digital health has led to profitable and successful private and public exits.
Prince Shah, MD, FACP, FACG
Dr. Shah is a practicing gastroenterologist, entrepreneur, and clinical Partner at Swan AI Studios. Prior to Swan AI Studios, he served as Chief of Medicine at St. Louise Regional Hospital in Gilroy. Dr. Shah has the unique distinction of having his oral presentation videos selected twice for Digestive Disease Week, the premier gastrointestinal meeting in the U.S.
Tanzeem Choudhury, PhD
Dr. Choudhury is an internationally acclaimed pioneer in mobile and wearable sensing, digital health, and machine learning. She is an Advisor to Swan AI Studios, Endowed Professor at Cornell Tech and Co-founder and CEO of Health Rhythms, a behavioral health monitoring platform. Dr. Choudhury is a recipient of MIT Technology Review TR35 award and two ACM Ubiquitous Computing 10-yr Impact Awards.
